Bella Busatti

It dawned on me recently; I so needed to find the perfect fabric to make an exquisite jacquard cotton table cloth. Luckily I stumbled on Busatti and I would have to say it’s like finding the ultimate Aladdin’s cave of fabrics! So many fabrications in one room, so many stunning colours! Now the fun began, trying to chose which fabric would be most appropriate for the table cloth…. Argh!!

I want to share with you all that is Busatti! The location of the incredible fabric house, the fascinating history of Busatti and why you need to consider buying Busatti fabric for upholstering, decorating or wearing.

For over 6 years, Christine Bennett, Helen Owenell and Suzanne Willing have been operating Busatti at 257 Queen Victoria Street, North Fremantle. The Italian company still remains obsessed with natural fibres, traditional manufacturing techniques and Italian know how.

The beautiful Busatti fabric is made on the border of Tuscany and Umbria. The same wooden shuttle looms from 1842 are still in use today creating the stunning Busatti linen and cotton cloths. The same family owns the business, eight generations later.

There is no denying the fabrics are of superior quality and could be used to make clothing, curtains and to re-decorate your home with an array of incredible colour palettes.

I dare you to visit and be mesmerized!
