Look fabulous on Christmas Day By Lisa Corser

Christmas Day can be stressful, especially if you are entertaining at home. Whether you are having lunch or dinner, its good to have your outfit sorted well before the day.

Depending on the vibe of your Christmas Day – casual, semi-casual or formal – I have sourced some great looks for you to consider, to ensure you feel fabulous and comfortable whilst entertaining.

Being a Freo gal, I recently took the time to head north to Sara Fox and Co, in North Beach, Perth. What a fabulous shop – offering great designs from a stable of Australia’s top designers and also Sara’s own label – Sara Fox. Sara was so helpful and attentive and the vibe in the shop was great.

Depending on you budget, why not consider a wide leg pant or jumpsuit for Christmas Day? Zimmerman are doing some fun pieces, which are still super stylish. These pieces can be dressed up or down and will definitely get wear time over summer. Consider the investment and how many times you will realistically wear an outfit.zimmerman

Sara’s own label – Sara Fox – is super cute and sexy. Easy throw on pieces that are light and breezy and look effortless on.

Morrison have some lovely new pieces that are floaty and ethereal and very easy to wear. The Lily maxi dress is gorgeous, this piece also comes in a mini dress.

For a more formal occasion consider Morrison’s Lara range – the Lara’s dress and slip is stunning. This story also comes in a skirt and range of tops to match.

If your budget is a consideration, go to ZARA. Either shop online or go into one of their numerous Australian stores. I went into Zara this week and was really blown away by so many pieces at such great prices. Whoever is doing their styling and design, well it’s just brilliant. They have some stunning dresses, pants, jumpsuits for Summer and perfect for Christmas Day.

Rules of dressing

  • Make sure you own the outfit and are not swamped by it.
  • Be careful with bold prints.
  • Less is always more.
  • Go for one showpiece accessory or something subtle if your outfit is already quite a statement.
  • A nude or black shoe always works.
  • Go for comfort over structured, especially if you are going to be busy in the kitchen.
  • Buy something you will definitely wear again.
  • Keep your makeup natural and minimal with a pop of colour on the lips.

For sizes, colours and cost go online to any of the above stores.

Frock up and Merry Christmas!!!!!
