Winter Woolies

Even though Perth hasn’t experienced a cold winter like the last two (and who couldn’t forget last winter), a common theme is appearing in conversations I have with friends.…

I am desperate to replace my jumpers from years ago, where do I find great knitwear?

I don’t know about you but I just love a great knit… or two or three! Knits are easy to wear with jeans for weekend attire and look so good with the right skirt in the office.

And lets not forget the comfort and chic factor. In 2017, knitwear is sophisticated in design and fabrication so it is a must have in the winter wardrobe.

Kookai have a fabulous range of cashmere and merino wool knits which are a real steal @ $110.00 on sale. Soft and flattering on, the classic black roll neck, v neck and simple, longer round neck are must have wardrobe staples. Wear all of these knits with leather legs, jeans a Capri pant or long slender skirt.

If you are desperate for a splash of colour during winter, indulge yourself in Scanlon Theodore’s red mohair knit. Such a flattering length and this shade of red will have collecting compliments all day! Wear the red mohair knit with denim, midnight or black leather.

It’s impossible to ignore Banjo and Matilda’s beautiful range of cashmere knitwear. This very popular label offers numerous great jumper styles for easy weekend wear. The navy star knit is perfect with denim and for hanging out in your favourite coffee shop.

Not to be forgotten is Banjo and Matilda’s Surfer knit in navy. I have no doubt you would have this piece in your wardrobe for 8 to 10 years. Throw on a long scarf around your neck and voila.. you are dressed to face the ensuing breeze!

A jacket doesn’t always provide the level of comfort or casualness we require in the work place. Many workplaces today are very relaxed in their dress standards. Fortunately Sass and Bide have designed a clever long cardigan that acts as a tailored jacket.  Yes, you probably have to be a little bit taller to carry this off but if you can, you won’t regret the purchase as it is so easy to throw over a simple dress, jeans or pants. Not to mention comfortable and it doesn’t belong to Winter 2017.
